I watched the update and throughout the entire documentary my feelings towards the whole situation were so intensified. With the first movie i was interested, but because I already knew about it I wasn't really concerned. The footage in the first movie was mild compared to some of the imagery shown in the second one. The fact that these 3 men have risked their own lives to help other people is just amazing. They have kept their promise and have started a movement that is so much bigger than any of us. I enjoyed that they showed Jacob in the second documentary, I think that really has such a strong meaning because of the connection that they have with Jacob. And Jacob himself, he is such a great person and the best example to prove that people can be saved from Kony's rebel army. They are not all savages. The only reason that the people of Uganda fear about Kony is the fact that he is a 'holy spirit', and he instils this fear into people with brutality and confusion. Confusion in the sense that people are unsure of what to do, there is no way that people can fight children. These children make up 90% of his army. 90%, That is an outrageous number. I have all these thoughts flying through my head as I watch this: How can one man cause so much harm? What will happen to these children? Why are they not protected? Will the war ever end? And that's what gets to me. No one knows the answer. Kony is so reluctant to sign the peace agreement, and thats because he doesn't want peace. He wants control. He wants power. He wants to be the leader of a people who have lost their faith in him so long ago. And it is no longer only Uganda, his terror is spreading like wild fire. Since the making of the first film he has attacked places like the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic and Sudan. The people of the Invisible Children movement have so much dedication and bravery. I honestly believe that no matter how hard we try the world will never be at peace because there will always be someone who wants everything. They become greedy and want it all. The fact that they are doing this is a sign of hope that we not ever attain peace but we can create a much better world for not only ourselves, but we can help others achieve it too. It really is so inspirational. The update made me think so much, and even though it was very saddening it really is powerful. They may use images and footage that is vivid, and i think thats the right thing to do. They don't sugar-coat anything. The world has grown so accustomed to seeing only what the media wants you to see, wants you to believe. We need this wake-up call to prove that the world isnt always fine, and that it doesnt just revolve around one country. We are all human. Nobody deserves the absolutely disgusting treatment that these people are suffering. I joined The Rescue, because I want to be a part of something greater than myself. One man is not stronger than the whole world. The child soldiers can be saved. Maybe there is hope for humanity.

First of all I want to say thank you for showing our class this video and giving me a copy. I honestly enjoyed the experience, and I hope to one day be able to achieve something as great as these three guys. I really like the second video also, I love the fact that this huge movement was created by three guys with a video camera. It gives me the inspiration that I can do anything to help change the world. During this video, I really liked whenever the went to D.C to try to convince the people that we could step in and do something to stop the Rebels. I also thought it was very powerful whenever they held the rally, and actually brought Jacob to see hpw many people(our age) are actually helping put a stop to night communting. Another powerful part of this film is whenever the man is talking about the young boy getting transformed into a monster, and dropping a mother's baby into the river because she isn't walking fast enough. I liked the part whenever they were going into the forest to me Kony for the peace agreement, and the women pointed out the Rebels hiding in the trees, and I just thought about how brave it was for those three guys to be risking their lives to help those children. It was very sad whenever they got their hopes up, and he ended up not showing up. My favorite part that made me think the hardest was whenever the children Rebels were writing lettters to their families. It showed me that they're kids just like us trying to have a normal life. I really hope that our governments will step in around the world on April 25, and do something amazing to save these 3,000+ children and catch Joseph Kony for good. I loved, loved, loved these movies. And i'm going to send them to my old youth group back in Charlotte where I moved from. I'm sure they will do something to help this cause, and i'll be sure to keep you updated.

After watching the update of these children, it really made my heart drop. To know about how these kids are living. Its really sad. I wish I could come and save them. Hopefully they'll make another video about this because I really want to know whats up with these kids later down the road in life.
