1.) Why was this video made?

The video was made to show that we are shown a false beauty. Our perception of what is beautiful is, is forced upon us by what society believes to be. Like flawless skin for example. The message of the video is that true beauty goes deeper than the perfect images around us. Dove wants to find people who are naturally beautiful, not artificially created by the technolgy of today. It could have different effects depending on the type of woman, she could either believe that she is truly beautiful on her own, or she could believe that she is ugly and needs to become as flawless as the images of 'perfect' people. It al depends on the view of that woman.
The video was made to show viewers the information behind what our concept of "beautiful" really is. Society says who is beautiful and who is not. Flawless skin, pearly white teeth, big lips, sculpted eyebrows are only some characteristics of what society believes to be "beautiful." Dove created this video to show you that what we see on billboards and magazines, are altered by technology and make-up. Dove wants to find women who are naturally beautiful. I think that Dove wants women to have more self confidence and find their own inner beauty, because everyone is beautiful in their own way. You don't need tons of make up and technology to show how beautiful you are. Dove is trying to show this, and I feel that this video really got the point across.

1.) This video was made to show us that the "beauty" we see on billboards and on the TV are all fake.
2.) I think the message of this video is that real beauty should not be made. We are all beautiful and it's because of things like these that we don't see it.
3.) If a women signs up to be a model, they should ask if they are going to be photoshopped, and if they are, they should just say no.

I think that this Dove commercial was made to show that what we may see on billboards, magazines or anything else that has to do with some form of beauty is all fake. Society in this day in age believes that beauty has to be something of perfect like flawless skin or perfect straight teeth. I think the message this video is trying to send is that beauty is more than just a photograph taken and becomes altered into something else, but that beauty lies within us. I think Dove is trying to find a woman who is perfectly imperfect who is naturally beautiful with flaws who's natural beauty doesn't need to be transformed into something fake. Dove is also trying to show that being beautiful means that your confident about who you are and feeling comfortable in your own skin. It depends on the perspective of the woman, whether she believes that being confident with her natural look is better than turning into someone their not by technology or if the woman thinks that being flawless and being "perfect" is their definition of beauty.
I think the video was made to raise self-esteem in girls and young women and to raise awareness of the link between beauty and body-related self-esteem. I think the message is to make women feel more beautiful every day by challenging today’s stereotypical view of beauty and inspiring women to take great care of themselves. Women have issues with their body image, so I think what Dove is trying to do will have a huge impact on women, cause it will encourage them to be more proud and confident looking at their reflection.
I think this video makes it looks like girls need alot of makeup or something to make them look good

1)To show people how they change how someone really look into someone they relly not
2)To let people know that they go threw alot of change to make it the person look beautiful when they already look good
3)They might think that they really dont need all that done to them if they pick you out to take the pick then you should already be beautiful not for them to put all that stuff on you to make you even more beutiful.

This video was made to show viewers how true beauty isn't real. People alter with themselves to portray a certain message, and that makes the beauty shown fake. I think that the message was to raise women's self-esteem in a sense where they feel they don't need to change themselves to look beautiful. Women could gain self-esteem. Their concept of themselves should increase and make them want to show their true beauty. Everyone has beauty one way or another.

1). this video was made to show that nothing is perfect, and that our expectations are much to high, and we are chasing a true beauty that doesnt exist.
2). To show girls that most pictures and billboards do not show what using a certain product can accually do for you, although they are made to seem that way.
3). It could make girls feel more secure in their image knowing that the beautiful women they see in advertisements are not always having their true image shown

1.)The video was made to show that everthing you see is not always true about beauty.
2.) The Message of the video was that many girls that you look up to beauty isnt true and that you shouldnt want to be like them because truly there fake and let people make them up to the point that you cant really understand how they are.
3.) The video could have an impact on self concept because the woman that want to be models mite change there mind because they would get treated the same or if they want to be a model they would stand up for what they true beauty that they was born with.

I think that the video was made to show that the perception of beauty is not a state of being but what som one can make you.
I think the message of the video was that no one will every BEAUTIFUL enough for the business. Theres aalways going to be some change they can find to change you.
i think that the video will deffinately teach people that every one has a opinion. that nmo matter what there will always be someone that would love to change you. but your beautiful inside and out that yor opinion is the only one that counts.

1.) I think the video was to show that how many people want to be like what the see on billboards that many are just really made up to but on the imperssion of real beauty.
2.)I think the message of the video is to show that you should always let your own true beauty shine and dont let what you see take over your life with you trying to be like them which is impossible.
3.) This video could have alot of self concept on woman by beliving that there are truly beatiful and no one could change there natural beauty.
1) The video was made to show that today’s version of “beauty”, that people see are fake.
2) The message of this video was to show that society’s version of “beauty” is fake and that the pictures that we see are changed programs like Photoshop.
3) The impact that the video could have on a women's self-concept is that they do not have to worry about how they don’t look like the women on T.V, since the beauty that see is fake. I think that Dove are looking for women that have “true beauty” and have self-confidence about themselves without the use of programs like Photoshop and putting a lot of makeup on, like they were showing in the video.
This video was made to tell us that we shouldn't waste our time chasing "beauty" that we see in advertisements and billboards. It also was made to take the pressure off women who feel they need to look a certain way to be beautiful. It was telling women to not try to look like the image that our society wants them to look like. Our society wants all women to look the same way. It doesn't let women show their true beauty because they're trying to be beautiful by society's standards and not their own. hopefully, the video will let women accept who they truly are and possibly raise their self-esteem.

this movie was made to show that we need to spend more time putin on make-up

This video was made to show you that the
"beauty" that you see on billboards is fake. I think what they are trying to say is that its wrong to distort your image to make you "beautiful" when who you are is just as good. I think it depends on who the woman is and how she veiws the video. It made me feel like everyone is beautiful in their own way and that you dont need makeup or hair products to look great.
The video was made to show that the beauty that America portrays isn't real. The message of the video is to show that the people that you see on the billboards and in pictures are just photo shopped and that they're image isn't real. It can show that you can be beautiful in your own way and you shouldn't have to compare yourself to what you see in the pictures.
1) I believe this video was made to show how human beings distort things to make them to their personal liking. It not only represents the stereotype of a perfect woman (obviously she doesn't exist, sinco they have to do so much to make her the way she was) but the stereotype of everything else. It's decieving and unbelievable how we all lower ourselves to what the media shows us.
2) The message of this video is to start believing in things that actually exist and nt agree with the misconceptions of beauty.
3) Our concept on woman is in denial of what it should be. So the impact this video is strong and gives an idea of the fact that we need to start living in the real world and look for something that actually is real, like feelings and art and natural talent instead of artical faces.

This video was made to show us that makeup advertisements use fake beauty. The message of this video was to tell us that what we see on billboards was photoshopped and made people look different than they really are. The impact of this video on womens self- concept is that look beautiful in your own way and not what people make you look like.
i think this video was made to show that women on magazines are fake. i think the message was that true beuty for women is the realest. i think this had a big impact on women because it shows that they dont have to look up to those women.
Cheyenne & Whitney,
I think you need to watch the video again and rethink your responses. Think the opposite of what you have written.

I think that Dove created this video to show women you don't have to have perfect skin, big lips, glossy hair, or perfect teeth, to be considered beautiful. They are showing all of us that in reality no one is really "beautiful" the way they make it seem. Even the models, don't look like they do in ads. Dove is telling all women that being beautiful isn't looking a certain way, but feeling a certain way about yourself, and having that confidence that most "beautiful girls" lack. I love love love this message and I wish everyone could see this, and look at women this way instead of just a sex idol.
